On 10 March 2014, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, hosted a farewell lunch in honour of 3 Thai military officers who have completed their 1-year assignment as military observers in the disputed area, Jammu-Kashmir, under the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP). The UNMOGIP mission is supported by ten countries including Thailand. The three military personnels from the Royal Thai Armed Forces are dispatched to the disputed area every year. The new batch of Thai military officers will arrive in Pakistan in April 2014.
