Once again, Royal Thai Embassy Residence welcomed the Thai Student Association in Islamabad. Over the Thai food lunch, the Embassy team discussed with the students on the upcoming activities aiming to enhance students’ capacities in various dimensions as well as to promote harmony and well-being of the students. It was such a warm feeling gathering where the diplomats and students exchange ideas, shared experiences and supports during their stay abroad away from home. Thanks to Pakistani’s generosity and hospitality, Thai students have very much enjoyed their stay in this beautiful country.

Local officials and employees of the Royal Thai Embassy gave a donation to help and support Pakistani people affected by the Pakistan flooding situation through a representative of a local community. In addition, the Ambassador also met with Mr. Asim Iftikhar, Deputy Permanent Secretary and Spokesman of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to inform him of the donation from the Most Venerable Arayawangso Fund. They also discussed the possibility and ways that the Thai government could provide further assistance to Pakistani people in the future.

On 3 February 2022, Royal Thai Embassy team led by Ambassador Chakkrid Kraichaiwong and his spouse visited Thai students at International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) to have a warm conversation with them about their well beings during the covid-19 situation which is worrisome. The team encouraged Thai students to follow the covid SOPs implemented by the Pakistani government for their sake and provided them necessary stuff including food, groceries, face masks, hand sanitizers and medical supplies.

Royal Thai Embassy contributed fund raised during an Annual Charity Bazaarr organized by Pakistan Foreign Office Women’s Association (PFOWA) #ThaiPak70years Mrs. Pornrat Krachaiwong, spouse of Thai Ambassador to Pakistan, as a representative of Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad and office of defence and military attache, handed over a cheque to PFOWA in contributing to its charity fundraising towards Pakistani people in need. Earlier, the embassy participated in the charity bazaar at Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan organized by PFOWA where it sold delicious authentic Thai foods to raise the fund for charity. The embassy is appreciative of all supporters who contributed to the fund by buying Thai foods at its stall.

On 31 January 2022, H.E. Mr. Chakkrid Krachaiwong welcomed Mr. Atif Munir Sheikh, President of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI), and the representative of FCCI at the Thai Residence. Both sides exchanged views on potential economic and trade cooperation between Thailand and Faisalabad, the third largest city of Pakistan and one of the leading economic and industry cities of Pakistan.
