On 26 October 2017, concurrently with the Royal Cremation Ceremony in Bangkok, the Royal Thai Embassy, Islamabad, organized the sandalwood flower laying event in tribute to His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at the Royal Thai Embassy.  The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Surashete Boontinand, the Chargé d'affaires, a.i., and participated by Team Thailand officials and the officials of the Embassy and their families, as well as Thai people and Friends of Thailand from Islamabad and Lahore.
