On 3 October 2016, H.E. Mr. Suchart Liengsaengthong, Ambassador of Thailand, attended the AIC meeting along with Ambassadors/High Commissioners from Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, and Vietnam. The meeting included the handover of the Chairmanship from the Ambassador of Vietnam to the High Commissioner of Brunei, as well as the consensus on joint activities of AIC that will promote ASEAN in Pakistan.
