On 8 August 2017, H.E. Mr. Suchart Liengsaengthong, Ambassador of Thailand, and his spouse together with Team Thailand and the Embassy’s staff and their families attended the 50^th Anniversary Celebration of the Foundation of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN), organized by the ASEAN Islamabad Committee (AIC) , held at the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Islamabad. 

                Foreign Secretary Tehmina Janjua was the Chief Guest of the event, which  was attended by over 200 people comprising Ambassadors and High Commissioners of ASEAN Missions accredited to Pakistan, senior Pakistani officials, media and citizens of ASEAN countries.  The event included ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony, tree planting, cultural performances and culinary festival from 7 ASEAN Diplomatic Missions.
