On 8 August 2016, H.E. Mr. Suchart Liengsaengthong, Ambassador of Thailand, and his spouse attended the 49^th Anniversary of ASEAN Day event, organized by the ASEAN Islamabad Committee (AIC) and held in the Malaysian High Commission in Islamabad. H.E. Mr. Tariq Fatemi, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, was the Chief Guest of the event, which was attended by Ambassadors and members of ASEAN diplomatic missions in Islamabad. The event included food and displaying of cultures and handicraft from ASEAN countries. Three Pakistani Companies, which are Habib & Company, M.Furqan & Co., and King Group of Companies, also participated in displaying Thai products at the event.
