On 17 February 2016, H.E. Mr. Suchart Liengsaengthong, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, attended the National Parliamentary Meeting on Malnutrition, which was chaired by H.E. Mr. Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Speaker of the National Assembly of Pakistan, and was also attended by H.E. Mrs. Saira Afzal Tarar, Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination in the Federal Government of Pakistan. During the meeting, the issues discussed were the role of Pakistan in giving importance to sanitation and malnutrition in accordance with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as well as the further implementation by the Government of Pakistan at the national-level and provincial-level in tackling the said issues.
