On 21 August 2015, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand and Chairman of the ASEAN Islamabad Committee (AIC), chaired the Celebration of 48^th Anniversary of ASEAN at the Royal Thai Embassy, Islamabad. The event was well attended by over 70 people comprising the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, media, and the officials and their families of ASEAN diplomatic missions in Islamabad. ASEAN Ambassadors and High Commissioners also co-chaired the ASEAN Flag Raising Ceremony. On this occasion, the Ambassador of Thailand and Chairman of the AIC delivered a remark on the development of ASEAN and commended mutual amity, cordiality and moderation that guided ASEAN towards the goal of regional peace and prosperity.
