On 12 July 2014, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, hosted a welcoming dinner in honour of three Thai military officers who will perform their duties as military observers under the United Nations Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) over the disputed area of Kashmir.  The current UNMOGIP military observers comprise 44 military personnel from 10 countries. Since 2012, Thailand has dispatched 3 military officers from the Royal Thai Armed Forces to Pakistan as military observers under the UNMOGIP every year. The current Thai military officers are the third batch and they will carry out their assignments from 9 July 2014 - 9 July 2015.
