On 14 June 2014, H.E. Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, participated in the Sports Competition with the Thai students and the Thai community in Islamabad. Over 160 participants comprising Thai students of the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) and Madrassahs in Rawalpindi and Raiwind, the Thai community, the Thai Embassy and Team Thailand’s officials including their families, as well as local staff of the Thai Embassy participated in the event. There were various sports competitions organized such as football, table tennis, volleyball, chair ball, sepak takraw, and other sport activities such as sack race and speed eating race. This sports competition was held to help the Thai students and the Thai community get acquainted with Thai Embassy and Team Thailand’s officials and promote unity and harmony among Thai students as well as encouraging the students to play sports for good health.
