On the occasion of the 86th Royal Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand on 5 December 2013, His Excellency Mr. Tomwit Jarnson, Ambassador of Thailand to Pakistan, hosted the Thai National Day Reception at the Marriott Hotel on 5 December 2013.  More than 500 guests from the Pakistani Government and private sector, Ambassadors, diplomatic corps, and the Thai community including Thai students attended the event with Lt. Gen. Abdul Quadir Baloch, Federal  Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) as Chief Guest. Other dignitaries included Mr. Asif Saeed Manaise, Minister for Special Education, Government of Punjab, and the President of Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The Ambassador delivered his remarks highlighting the royal initiatives, development projects, and Thai-Pakistani relations. To end the ceremony, the Ambassador and distinguished guests cut a cake to humbly wish His Majesty the King of Thailand health and happiness, followed by the Thai classical dance by the Thai community to pay tribute to His Majesty the King.  

        On 4 December 2013, the Ambassador led Embassy officials, Team Thailand in Islamabad and the Thai community in Pakistan to attend a ceremony at the Embassy to pay respect and extend humble wishes to His Majesty the King.
