On 12 February 2011 from 18.00 – 21.30 hrs., the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad led by Mrs. Jiraporn Jitpatima, wife of the Ambassador of Thailand, participated in the International Food Festival 2011 organized by the Westminster School and College Islamabad.    Mrs. Jitpatima was accompanied by Mrs. Somsamorn Nichrothanonda, wife of Embassy’s staff.

The main aim of this Festival is to promote tolerance and make students appreciate the fact that cultural diversity is recognized, respected and celebrated.

Various Embassies extended their support ranging from decorations, flag, food, outfits etc., to the School to organize cultural and food stalls.     The Thai stall was beautifully decorated and  its Thai food was one of the most popular dishes among visitors.   An estimated 700 students, parents, teachers, family members and diplomats attended the event.

Mr. Raheel Sajjad Khan, Director of the Westminster School and College, extended his thanks and appreciation, through Mrs. Jitpatima, to the Royal Thai Embassy for its contribution to the success of the Festival’s objectives which, he believed, would help promote good understanding betweenThais and Pakistanis.
