During 4-7 December 2010, the Royal Thai Embassy in Islamabad, Pakistan, in cooperation with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and Islamabad Marriott Hotel organized “Thai Food and Cultural Festival” at Nadia  Coffee Shop, Islamabad Marriott Hotel.  The objective of the Festival, which was held to coincide with the celebration of the 83rd Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej and of soon-to-be the 60th anniversary of Thailand-Pakistan diplomatic relations, is to promote Thai food and culture in Pakistan as well as to strengthen an ever-expanding social network so-called “Friends of Thailand”.  This will be in line with Thailand’s public and cultural diplomacy which serves to promote people to people relationship and the country’s images in various dimensions, such as creative economy, aviation and tourism.
